Content Syndication: Get the Most Out of Your Content

content syndication, digital marketing blog

You spend a good chunk of your time brainstorming content and blog ideas, researching them, creating graphics, and writing blogs for your business but only publish it a few places. Wouldn’t it make more sense to get the most out of your content and blogs?

That’s the magic of blog and content syndication.

Blog and content syndication is easy to do and only takes a few steps. For example, if you have written a blog that you want to attract more readers to you can have it republished onto other websites. This creates two or more places where your blog is, as you have the original blog post on your website and the republished blog post on other websites. The republished blog post is attributed to you or your business and includes a link to your website, which makes it easy for people to find your business through other websites.

Blog and content syndication also comes in other forms. Two of the more common ones include editing down your content or blog to be republished onto another site and posting a small excerpt from the original content. Just like in republishing a full blog or piece of content, credit is given to the owner of the original content. Content syndication also happens on social media, which you might have never even known you were doing. Anytime you retweet, like, or comment on something you are giving that content views and impressions from your audience. This is the same whenever someone does that with your content, as it allows it to be seen by their audience. Using social media for content syndication is a great tool and something you can improve on easily by interacting with others on social media platforms.

Syndication benefits your business greatly as you are building your brand authority. It helps you repurpose content and ideas to get more out of them, as you’ve already put so much work into them. With posting content on other websites, this creates links back to your website, which will help improve your long-term SEO results and drives more traffic to your website as people will click to see where the original content came from. As your business continues to write more blogs and create more content, your business’ online presence and brand recognition will grow with consistent and quality syndication.

When it comes to choosing what websites you will send your content to be republished on, make sure you are choosing websites that have more online authority than you. This is because you want to get your content in front of new people and be able to reach more people than your website can. But it is important to note that you want to make sure you are reaching the right people. Although it is great to get your content in front of lots of people, it is more important to get it in front of your target audience. Always make sure you publish the content or blog on your website first. This is to make sure that your business gets the credit for the content and is important when it comes to improving your SEO and building backlinks.

Blog and content syndication benefits both sides, as your business is now getting more reach, traffic, and potential customers, and the website republishing gets new content. It’s a win-win situation.
